What they say about us

As a long-time 64 year old student, I am writing to express my sincere gratitude and admiration for Lynne, a truly exceptional Pilates instructor. Lynne possesses an in-depth understanding of Pilates techniques and the anatomy, allowing her to modify exercises to suit individuals needs and abilities. I have never felt better than I do today, all thanks go to Lynne

Young and old, fit and not so fit, Lynne has something for everyone. She is an absolute stalwart, Lynne has been there through Covid and way beyond. She never gives up and never gives out and it’s a pleasure to join her classes in the mornings to stay mobile and mentally fit.

I have been going to Lynne's classes for several years now. I started after having had both hips replaced when I realised that I had to get my fitness level back. Lynne has encouraged me the whole way and her advice and help has motivated me and spurred me on! Through Lynne I have learnt so much about the human anatomy which has helped me to understand my own body-----also Lynne's mantra "age is just a number" is now also mine.

After fifteen years I can affirm that Lynne is an expert and charismatic guide and teacher for pilates, body-mechanics and movement. Her preference for small classes allows her to monitor and support, with humour and enthusiasm, beginners and longer-term users alike.

Lynne is an inspiration! Her classes offer healthy supportive movement alongside mind and body education with fascinating ideas and really helpful practical techniques and applications. For me there is a feeling of self-care, learning and community in Lynne's classes. So much more than just an exercise class and I would recommend 100%.

TC

I have attended Lynne’s group Pilates for some years and found them beneficial. Then after an accident l have been having one to one weekly sessions and found them invaluable, building up my confidence and strength helping me to feel 100% and stronger than I have ever felt!

I have been taking part in Lynne’s Pilates classes for many years and they are a joy. Lynne is such an inspiration, and is constantly learning about new things that she then brings to the classes so no two classes are ever the same! I have learned so much from her over the years and hope to continue learning more for many years to come. Her classes epitomise the importance and enjoyment of movement.

I was fortunate enough to come across Lynne at the beginning of the pandemic. Although I was able to work part time through the lockdowns I still had a lot of spare time on my hands. Although I also do yoga and another pilates class, Lynne's is like nothing I've come across before. Its so precise and I have learnt so, so much about how my body works and interacts with its different parts. I am able to fix things in my body that I had come to live with. Its just knowing what to do. I cannot thank Lynne enough and she also helped my husband so much in the same way. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone from children to people of advanced age. She knows her stuff, that's for sure!

Lynne is a fantastic teacher…Her classes are fun, interesting & never the same, always varied & new. For her Pilates her knowledge base is huge & ever growing, she is forever researching & learning herself so she can impart new information & teachings to her class on a daily basis. She is approachable & always keen to help with problems or just to keep us moving!

Lynne Rogers is a brilliant Pilates teacher. She is extremely knowledgeable about the body and explains what is happening and why we are doing things in a very easy to understand way. Every session is different and has a particular focus. She is always learning new things herself and passes on what she has learnt. Having moved away from Devon a few years ago I now rely on Zoom for my Pilates sessions with Lynne and although there are classes available near me I know I won’t find a better teacher than Lynne.

Lynne is an amazing teacher with a huge amount of experience. She has a profound understanding of anatomy and physiology and never stops studying. In 15 years of attending her weekly classes, she’s always offered an incredible variety of exercises to people of all ages and abilities. You’ll always feel better after attending!

I’m a 61 year ol male, I have had a very physical life through sport and work. I’m a bricky by trade/stone mason/builder, ex front row rugby player, footballer, tug-o-war puller, and raised on a farm. My ethos was always work hard, play hard! Around 2.5 years ago I had a synthetic disc inserted in my neck, due to an old rugby injury, a reverse shoulder operation, my lower back as the consultant said, discs from 1 to 5 worn out and narrowing of the spinal canal. So overall this was affecting my walking (dropped foot and sciatica) I really thought that I would soon be in a wheelchair. I have been having treatment from Lynne 2x weekly now for nearly 2 years. My lower back issues have pretty much disappeared! My core strength and shoulder strength have increased enormously, I am able to walk reasonably well at the moment. Lynne is now helping me to regain a better balance in my body (the effect of spinal deterioration). The effect of her treatment on me has been amazing? I cannot speak highly enough of how she has helped me regain my strength, balance and general body fitness. She is kind, generous, thoughtful and sympathetic, but she also knows how to make you achieve your goals! Thanks for reading.

I have been working with Lynne for over 3 years and I cannot recommend her enough. I have some difficult movement issues, and Lynne has been incredibly knowledgeable and patient, always tailoring my 121 to my needs. What really sets her apart is her amazing energy and down to earth approach. Lynne makes each session a pleasure no matter how challenging it may be. Lynne’s positive attitude is contagious and I always leave feeling both physically and mentally refreshed, my strength and balance have greatly improved. Lynne truly makes pilates a positive and enjoyable experience.

I’ve been having 1 to 1 sessions with Lynne for a couple of months now, and honestly they are fantastic. Lynne is such a lovely fun person, we always have a laugh even though she makes me work so hard. She is supportive and positive at all times, but she’s never ‘soft’ on me. She pushes me and gets me to work up to (but never beyond) my limits. Exercises change every sessions, so its never boring or repetitive. And she has got me into positions I never thought I’d achieve at my age! I have never been a sporty person, and although I’m not lazy, I usually dislike ‘organised’ exercise. But Lynne is clearly passionate about what she does, and because she’s such fun I always enjoy and look forward to every session and come out feeling energised and positive too.
